Road Advisory Committee Minutes 05/21/2012
RAC Meeting Minutes-5/21/12

The road survey was not completed as the parties involved could not get there schedules to work.

RAC members discussed that in the future we may need to go individually as schedules may not be as flexible as necessary. All members now have the ability to survey roads and opinions will be different but the manual is there to define and/or clarify any potential questions.

Also in discussion was the need to stress to CIP, Budget and other departments that without paving two miles a year that the 15 year plan is not attainable. Should we make this a 20 plus year plan?

Jim was asked to provide a list of  road segments for RAC members to look at and rate in order of importance and discuss at the next meeting. Jim is also going to rate and provide the updated traffic counts and a complete list of segments to review. The following is the partial list:

Pleasant Street-second and fourth segments
Kelly Corner-(2) segments RAC already surveyed
Horse Corner-Conomara to Bailey, Garvins Hill section, Levitt to Lane
King Road-Harvest to #111
Bear Hill-Center to Ferrin
Canturbury-Main Street to State Right of Way
Burnt Hill-lower (2) sections

New item for thought: RAC has not discussed incorporating into any plan the maintenance of bridges, concrete precast box culverts, or any other large diameter pipes used in a similar use.

Please excuse the spelling
